Custom Poodle Portraits From Your Photo

A poodle's outline is a decision somebody made six weeks ago. The clip grows out, the shape softens, and the dog in front of you in October is not quite the one in the photo from August. Which is why most poodle owners have one photo they are unreasonably attached to — taken the week the groom was perfect, before anything had a chance to go fluffy.

A custom portrait starts with the photo you already love and turns it into art made only for you. Upload it, pick a style, and see your finished art free — before you pay anything. What you see is exactly what we print.

The photo that works best

  • Take the photo within a week or two of a groom if you can. On a poodle the clip is the silhouette, and a grown-out coat genuinely reads as a different dog.
  • A black or dark brown poodle is the hardest coat there is to photograph — curls absorb light and the whole dog flattens into one shape. Use bright, indirect light and let the photo run slightly bright, so the curl texture survives instead of going to solid black.
  • Keep the eyes clear of the topknot. In a longer clip, hair falling over the face is the difference between a portrait of your dog and a portrait of a haircut.
  • Phone photos are perfect; no professional shots needed.
  • If your poodle has crossed the rainbow bridge, we work gently from the photos you have — you approve the art before anything is printed.

Common questions

Do you cover standard, miniature, and toy poodles?
Yes, all three. The art is built from your actual photo rather than a breed template, so your poodle's real size and proportions carry through. Apricot, red, cream, white, black, silver, blue, café-au-lait, parti and phantom all come back as they are.
Will my poodle's clip come through?
Yes, and it is the detail we would check first. A continental, a puppy clip, a teddy bear or a short kennel clip all change the outline completely, so we work from whatever clip your poodle is wearing in the photo you send rather than a standard show trim. You will see it in the finished art before you pay.
What about doodles — goldendoodles, labradoodles, bernedoodles?
Yes, and each has its own page: goldendoodle, labradoodle and bernedoodle. Because the art comes from your photo and not from a breed template, a doodle comes back as the specific dog they are, curls and all, rather than as a generic poodle.
