Does it work for any couple?

Yes — any gender pairing. The style poses two adults in a close side-profile kiss.

What is palette-knife or impasto?

Paint applied thickly with a blade rather than a brush, leaving visible ridges and texture. It's what gives the piece its depth up close.

Do we need to be kissing in the photo?

No. The pose is part of the style — a clear photo of the two of you is enough.
