- What kind of photo works best?
- Three-quarter front, in daylight, with the whole vehicle in frame and nothing parked in front of it. A phone photo taken from a low angle beats a sharp one taken from standing.
- Will the badges and the license plate stay?
- Yes. Badges, emblems, model names and lettering are kept exactly as they appear in your photo. Nothing is invented, so if you'd rather the plate were out of the picture, cover it before you shoot.
- What gets removed?
- Other vehicles, people, poles, wires, cones, bins and general clutter are removed. The setting itself (a driveway, a field, a runway, the water) is kept and painted loosely behind the subject.
- Can you paint a car I no longer own?
- Yes, from any photo you still have. Older or lower-resolution photos work; the painting is built from the car's shape and color, not from pixel-level detail.
