- Shoot in open shade or on an overcast day. Direct sun is the one condition that reliably blows out a white mask, and no style can recover detail that the camera never captured.
- Get some light on the eyes. Pale blue goes flat and gray in shadow — a little light from the front brings the ice back. If your husky is bi-eyed or parti-eyed, check both eyes are visible before you send it.
- Fill the frame with the head and chest. The mask, the eyebrow markings and the chest blaze are the details a husky owner checks first.
