- Get down on the floor. This is the single biggest difference on a corgi — at their eye level the long body and short legs read correctly instead of collapsing into a loaf.
- Shoot from the side or a low three-quarter angle if you want the classic corgi silhouette; head-on is great for the ears and the smile but hides the shape.
- Open shade or an overcast day keeps the white chest from blowing out while the red or sable coat stays rich.
- Phone photos are perfect; no professional shots needed.

- Do you do Cardigan corgis, not just Pembrokes?
- Yes. The art is built from your actual photo, so a Cardigan's tail and larger ears carry through exactly as they are — you are not getting a stock Pembroke with your dog's colors painted on. Same for red, sable, fawn, black-headed tri, and blue merle.
- Every photo I have is from standing up. Is that a problem?
- No. Send the best photo you have and you will see the finished art free before you pay anything, so nothing is a gamble. If you do have a minute to take one new photo at floor level, that is the one that usually becomes the portrait.
- Can you leave out the harness or leash?
- Yes — tell us in the notes and we work from the dog rather than the gear. You approve the art before anything is printed, so you can see it is right first.
